Lifestyle Change: How to treat your body

How you treat your body NOW will affect it LATER on. What in the world does that mean?

Well let’s put it this way… if you don’t take care of your body by making healthy choices in what you eat, how you manage your stress, how many hours you sleep, and how much exercise you get…. It will eventually catch up to you.

How do I know? I ignored all of those factors!! I was fortunate enough to get an early warning sign…. I got sick! My body said “I’ve had enough”.... “I can’t take this anymore”...”STOP”!

What got me there? I had the perfect recipe: I had a stress filled life… I worked two physically demanding jobs (60+ hours a week), ate fast food (it was convenient), didn’t exercise (thought my jobs were my exercise), and only slept a few hours at night.

Living a healthy lifestyle involves you to make many choices. The choice to eat a salad instead of a candy bar for dinner I’d say is a pretty good choice (extreme sarcasm! LOL)! Getting 7-10 hours of sleep at night would be another healthy choice. Exercising a few times a week, at the least, will make a difference in your health. Learning how to manage stress, whether its on the job, in the home, or in your head will definitely affect your body.

We all have the choice to be healthy.
